Newborn Photo Session
"Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were an hour old, I would die for you. This is the miracle of love."
-Maureen Hawkins
Safety, comfort, and the well being of your baby are the main focus during the newborn photo session. Newborn photos are best taken when baby is between 7 and 21 days old because babies are usually still quite sleepy and easily posed. If baby is a little older, no worries, we can still take beautiful photos. Keeping baby safe is the most essential element of a newborn session which is why I prefer natural poses. I also like to use soft colors and materials which provide a classic, timeless look to the images. The most important aspect of newborn photography is that the parents and the newborn feel completely at ease during the photo session. Newborn sessions are baby led and plenty of time is taken to allow for baby to be fed, cuddled, and changed so that baby is comfortable and will have the best experience.
The baby will be placed on several different decors. I use various fabric backdrops, baskets, wooden bowls, outfits, hats, headbands, and other accessories. Each session is customized to your family's specific needs and style preferences. You choose the colors and accessories that you would like for your newborn's session. Parents also have the option of taking photos with their newborn, both separately and together.
In my home studio in Cheyenne, I have created a warm, cozy, safe, and inviting space where we can capture precious memories of your baby's first days in the world. My goal is for you to have a relaxing and stress-free experience while I create art that will touch your heart with love and memories that you can cherish for years to come.
