Newborn Photo Session
Safety, comfort, and the well being of your child are the main focus during the newborn photo shoot. Newborn photos are best taken when baby is between 7 and 21 days old because babies are usually still quite sleepy and easily posed. If baby is a little older, no worries, we can still take beautiful photos. Keeping baby safe is the most essential element of a newborn session which is why I prefer natural poses. I also like to use soft colors and materials which provide a classic, timeless look to the images.

The most important aspect of newborn photography is that the parents and the newborn feel completely at ease during the photo shoot. Newborn sessions are baby led and plenty of time is taken to allow for baby to be fed, cuddled, and changed so that baby is comfortable and will have the best experience. The studio is cleaned and sanitized after each session as well as all props and backdrops. There is also a changing table to change baby and a sitting area where parents can sit and feed baby.

The baby will be placed on several different decors. If the baby wakes up, we can take beautiful photos with their eyes open or take time to get them back to sleep. I use different fabric backdrops, baskets, wooden bowls, outfits, hats, headbands, and other accessories. You choose the colors and accessories that you would like for your newborn's session. Parents also have the option of taking photos with their newborn, both separately and together.

The cost for the newborn session is $375 and includes a minimum of 20 high resolution digital images. Within two weeks after your session, you will receive a link to download your images. The final images will be delivered to you in color and black and white and will be without my logo or watermark so that you may have unlimited prints made wherever you wish. Book the newborn photo shoot during your second trimester to ensure availability and I will reserve a time around your due date. Once your bundle of joy has arrived, we will finalize the date and time of your session.
